Skunk or Raccoon? what do you think?

I'm looking for a new pet and i don't know which on to choose. i've done the research for both, and i'm already set on the fact that i want one of them. I just want to hear some ideas from people who own these pets or know some things about them? which do you think? :)Skunk or Raccoon? what do you think?
Both can make awesome pets. Skunks are more docile and less dangerous when they are intimidated. The stink producing glands are removed from pet skunks so there will be no smell.

Neither animal is suitable for a household with any other animals though.Skunk or Raccoon? what do you think?
First of all are you sure it is legal to have one of these animals as a pet where you live? These are WILD animals and could attack at any time if they felt provoked - which putting them in a cage would definitely do so. You need to research this and THINK carefully about what you're doing . So many people go out and get an animal because they think it's cute and end up abandoning it or neglecting it. You could also be reported to animal control by anyone who would see this ';pet'; and have to pay a huge fine.
I have had pet raccoons I ran a rescue organization for orphaned wild animals. The Ra coons were great but they all run away to join the great out doors when they reach sexual maturity.Like they should. The males will get very aggressive. You dont want a raccoon fore a pet they are not domesticated, and like any other wild animal there behavior can be very erratic. I dint know any thing about skunks so i cant help you there. But i know getting attached to a raccoon can lead to heart ach when they leave you.
i had a raccoon %26amp; he was great. I had a harness for him %26amp; while he was smaller he would ride on my shoulder or back %26amp; he slept at night with me %26amp; was awake during the day. I bottle fed him when he was really young then he went to premium dog food. Pretty cool but when he got bigger he became very curious %26amp; was into everything. Just be sure to lock everything up.
First of all, why are these two you choices? These animals were meant to live in the wild.

But if you think you must have one of these two, I would go with the skunk. They don't seem to get as aggressive as coon's do.

Have you thought about getting something like a Ferret?

I would stay away from the Raccoons if I were you.
I have a cousin that her grandma has a skunk. Which odviously it is desented or what ever it is called. And it is a wonderful pet. But the one she has is somewhat shy of people she doesn't really know. She hides under the couch when people come their

skunk IF he has had his stink glands removed then he is more like a cat raccoons are very aggressive at times very nasty bite and does NOT play well with others
definitely a raccoon, skunks are not meant to be kept inside, because they can spray you. Raccoons are also trainable.
I would personally choose a raccoon, although they seem more agressive, a skunk is stinky!
i get a raccoon out of those choices ... but i would get a ferret
i would say a raccoon. skunks will stink up your home
Why do you want to own a wild animal?
