What are the signs of a rabid skunk?

I saw a skunk moving around in the daylight, around 10:00 am and that seems very unusual to me.What are the signs of a rabid skunk?
Many nocturnal animals can be seen in the daytime, especially if the weather has been bad and they have not been able to find enough food at night.

';So, how can you tell if an animal has Rabies? You can't just look at an animal and tell if it has Rabies. But, there are certain symptoms that MAY point to this viral disease:

1. Rabid animals tend to stagger or move unsteadily when they try to walk.

2. They MAY be frightened by water and refuse to drink.

3. Rabid animals may slobber profusely.

4. Affected animals may be overly aggressive and try to bite. Rabid animals can also go the other way and act unusually social and tame.

5. They may experience partial paralysis that begins in the hind quarters.

6. And Rabid animals may act bewildered and confused.

The only sure way to tell if an animal has Rabies is to have it tested by a professional. Since Rabies affects the brain tissue, this area of the body has to be examined.';

Skunks, while nocturnal, can be occasionally seen during the day. I have seen them on occasion, especially when there is a large population of them in an area.

Was it aggressive? Any wild animal that behaves aggressively, especially if they are unafraid of humans, should be avoided and watched carefully.

The normal signs of rabies are aggressive behavior, biting random objects and an increase in saliva.

foaming is a side effect of the increase in saliva.
well, if they are frothing at the mouth, (foaming) and acting almost drunk.
if they are stumbling around like they are drunk. maybe he was detained while searching for food in the nightime, someone treed him and he was late getting back home
foaming at the mouth
Not unusual at all and don't expect himto get in a big hurry to get away. Skunks aren't greatly afraid of you or pets so keep them away. If you approach carefully and don't get too close he should start moving away. If not you may have a rabid skunk and a gun should take care of that.
Skunks are nocturnal. If you see one out during the day be very suspicious and report it. Rabid skunks are dangerous, and will not always exhibit the 'classic' symptoms of rabies at the onset when they start coming out after sunrise.
