Then contact you city and county governments about legalities there. Sometimes city and county statutes are different unless you live in a city/county with a merged government.
Finally, if they are legal in the county and city, check your neighborhood association bylaws and your deed of restrictions.
There have been cases here where illegal animals have been removed from homes, most involved exotic pets (someone even had a lion at one point!). Just be aware, it can happen and if you are going against neighborhood, city, county, state, or federal regs, you won't have much of a defense.
