How do you get rid of skunks without injuring them?

i have 1 living in my barn and it has babies. what am i to do?How do you get rid of skunks without injuring them?
So that u don't injure yourself call animal control or pest control they khow what they are doing. How do you get rid of skunks without injuring them?
Place pieces of cut onions or onion juice around the area, they cant tolerate the smell. Only use White onions, not the pinkish red ones.
Call an animal control service and they will come and take care of the skunk and make sure that it's put back where it belongs.
Do you have any pets?

If so encourage them to use the bathroom around the barn it will scare off the skunk.
First you leave out a little bit of lettuce every night for 5 nights in a row. On the 6th night, leave out a piece of lettuce but sit next to it until the skunk comes to take it- but don't say or do anything. On the seventh night do the same thing but this time when the skunk comes out compliment her on her hair or the color of her eyes or something, then invite her inside. When she comes in, offer her some nice wine and provide some intriguing conversation. Remember to keep her wine glass full. When she starts laughing at nonsense and slurring her words, then it's time to make you're move... move in close and put your arm around her. Move closer and give her a gentle kiss. If she seems receptive to your advance then continue to make sweet love to the skunk...

...the next morning make the skunk a nice breakfast and then tell the skunk she needs to leave because you have to go to a meeting at work. For the next several nights do not contact the skunk. Do not answer the phone, and do not leave out any more lettuce. On the 5th night, leave a piece of lettuce with a note saying that the skunk was the best thing that's ever happened to you but that you are not emotionally ready for this kind of comitment and that the skunk should just move on. I think you'll find that the skunk will bhe gone by the next morning and ALL your problems will be solved! Sure the skunk may be injured emotionally, but physically she'll be just fine and the emotional wounds will heal with time...

...GOOD LUCK!
call animal control
You can contact an animal removal service they can trap and move the skunk with out injury, but the risk of being sprayed is great. most local animal humane societies will not be of much help due to the nature of the situation. you can purchase a live trap at some farm supply stores and try catching it yourself but this is better left up to professionals. as being sprayed by a skunk is not something any one wants to happen. you could try getting an owl decoy and place it in sight of the barn this may make the mother skunk move her litter to a safer place.
We had the same problem, only under our shed. We had 2 skunks and their family, we used mothballs. I didn't think it'd work, but it did. The mothballs are still under the shed and we haven't had any problems since.
Use a Critter Cather, which is harmless, but becarefull when you go to remove the skunk if it is the cage type construction because you may get sprayed. They do have solid wall traps that keep them inclosed and then you can release them froma distance with a string to open the door.

Also have you considered a dart gun? They are pretty harmless, leave no lasting damage and are safe for the user.
