This is really random, but I was watching an episode of The Rugrats and Chuckie got sprayed by a skunk, so I was just wondering what really takes the smell off of a person.What really takes the skunk smell off of a person?
Tomato or lemon juice. Both are acidic and will break down the basic odor of the skunk. Both will make your skin itch and maybe burn a bit due to the acid content of them, then just bathe as normal to get the juice off.What really takes the skunk smell off of a person?

i don't know about a person, but i've heard that tomato juice will deodorize a dog that's been sprayed by a skunk. so maybe if a person sponged themself off with tomato juice, then showered with soap and hot water, that would work.

I know that tomato juice works. My dog got sprayed by a skunk once, and when I bathed him in tomato juice, there was only a small remnant (very faint) of the smell left; and that didn't last long.
Wash well in tomato juice.
