I'm a recovered alcoholic and when I was in rehab in 2006 I met many young people there who's lives had been ruined by it, every heroin and cocaine addict I met there started off by smoking it.

in most parts of the US (urban areas or states that have legalized medical marijuana) skunk is considered to be a top quality strain of weed, like northern lights or purple haze.





it's one of the preferred strains for outdoor growers...if you have ever smelled a skunk, you know exactly what this strain smells like.





in other parts (usually more rural areas, like where i'm from) skunk weed means roughly the same thing as ditch weed...really stringy, nasty tasting weed...the kinda stuff you wouldn't let your worst enemy smoke, because its a disgrace to the term marijuana.





EDIT: all of the 'this weed being stronger than that weed' is crap. average kind buds contains 15-20% THC, a few strains have been recorded as containing 20-25% THC, but the difference between 15% and 25% isn't very noticeable. all the ';this is the strongest sh*t in the word'; crap is nothing more than opinions and preference.Can anyone give me information on the cannabis ';skunk';?
the skunk i know sneaks up on you.. it smells very very strong, it stinks but not like a skunk. it taste very strong and about 20 mins after you smoke, that when it kicks in hard. had me and my little brother down for 2 days.. we loved it

It's just a name for a very strong type of cannabis, it contains up to twenty times more THC crystals than the regular stuff.
It actually has a pungent odor reminiscent of skunks. I used to see it alot in New York until about 6 or so years ago. Everybody is kush crazy nowadays.
