My dog just got sprayed by a skunk, any ideas on how to get it off?

Bather the dog in the following solution:

1 quart 3%hydrogen peroxide

1/4 cup baking soda

1 teaspoon liquid dish soap.

Make sure you get it down to his skin.

Discard any excess--it could explode in a sealed container. My dog just got sprayed by a skunk, any ideas on how to get it off?
A bath that consists of 1/2 cup of white vinegar (tomato juice will work if you don't have it - they have the same ingredient for neutralization) to every gallon of water will do the trick very well. Just be careful about not getting it into your dog's eyes because it stings like you wouldn't believe. After that you're still gonna have to give him a regular doggie bath to get the vinegar smell off, but the vinegar will neutralize the skunk spray. I had this happen to my roommate's dog and this was what the vet recommended and what we'd found on an Internet search (we called the vet to make sure that it was doggie safe). I have to say that it worked like a charm - and the dog was VERY happy to not smell like skunk anymore. My dog just got sprayed by a skunk, any ideas on how to get it off?
Do not go running to the store for tomato juice

Wash your dog and then wait. It takes time for the smell to truly leave.
